We found ourselves back in Dallas over Labor Day weekend to catch the OU vs. BYU football game.
No, this is not an unidentified flying object. It's the Dallas Cowboys new stadium and OU was the first football team to hold an official game in it. So of course our curiosity got the best of us and we headed south of the Red River to check it out {with a promise to the kiddos they could swim in the hotel pool}.
As you drive into Arlington TX you can see the roof line of the stadium 10 miles away!
Arriving 3 hours before kick off you would think that parking would be ample. Well, it was at $75.00 per car! We parked over a mile away for $15.00 and took in some much needed exercise. And wouldn't you know with the 90* heat the kids wanted a bottle of water. Sticker price $5.00 each! And my feet took a lickin' and it wasn't a pretty site.
And here is proof that every now and then, I can catch on camera, just how much these two knuckle heads love each other. This was taken moments before brother "accidentally" walked all over sisters fingers.
It's hard for me to every believe that anything is to loud for this little guy. The definition of a boy should read: loud with dirt on it! This is the largest score board EVER I promise. It runs from one 20 yard line to the other. And if you don't believe me just goggle it.
I don't know if we will every make it back to this stadium. But at least we can say that we have gone to Jerry's world!

Just to give you an idea of it's size. Look right in the middle you will see two full sized cars parked on the third level! I will have to admit the place was aesthetically pleasing and very clean. It seemed as if they had about one staff employee for every 10 fans. But with parking at a premium and a single hot dog selling for $7.50. This is not a cheap family day outing.
