Heart S'mores

Sometimes I think my kiddos could live on chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows alone. Any type of S'more treat puts a smile on their face. I think half the fun is they get to create them all by themselves!

So when I stumbled upon these large heart marshmallows, I thought they would be perfect for a knock-off "pop" on a stick.

Using red striped straws for our sticks we attached our marshmallow. Melted a few squares of almond bark in the microwave.

Dipped the marshmallows just half way in.

Then dipped them into a sleeve of crushed graham crackers.

The perfect little "love" snack!

V.Day Bounce Printable...FREE!

I know that I saw this idea out there somewhere. I failed to Pin it and when I search for it on pinterest I get nothing. So I had to resort too making my own for little man. Please, someone let me know if they know where this came from so that I may give the credit where credit is due!

I bought some Valentine Bouncey Balls at Target last week. For $2.00 you get 16 bouncey balls, not to shabby. Using some 3x3 clear lip and seal bags that I keep stalked at all times , in all sizes, form here. We, Gabe and me, cut, stuffed and stapled them together in just under 20 minutes.

If you would like to make your own set to pass out just click on the picture below. I left off Gabe's name so that you can add your own childs name without any problem.

The Joy of My Heart

I subscribe to an online daily devotional from Anne Graham Lotz with Angel Ministries.

There have been many mornings I have opened her email and have had an additional burst of encouragement for my day.

You can find them posted all over the inside of my cabinets and doors.

With this being Valentine’s Day I wanted to share with you what she sent me today.

The Wonderful Someone

"It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."

John 16:7, KJV

The very promise Jesus gave us contains a name for the Holy Spirit that reveals the uniqueness of His nearness in our loneliness. This name, "Comforter," is equally translated from the Greek text into six other names, each of which describes a slightly different aspect of the Holy Spirit's precious, personal ministry in our lives:

Comforter: One Who relieves of mental distress

Counselor: One Who gives advice and manages causes

Helper: One Who furnishes relief or support

Intercessor: One Who acts between parties to reconcile differences.

Advocate: One Who pleads the cause of another.

Strengthener: One Who causes strength and endurance

Standby: One Who can be always relied upon

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be to have Someone with these attributes in your life? If you belong to Jesus, you do have that wonderful Someone. You have the Holy Spirit.

Blessings

FREE Valentine Printable!

I found the cutest Valentine note cards for my kiddo’s lunch the other day over at Crafts & Sutch.

Tell me someone who wouldn’t just love to get one of these, even the hubby!

I am working on getting back in full swing. We have had a very unusually amount of snow for Oklahoma. And here, in Oklahoma, we don’t have the means to handle it! So after 4 days snowed in my home with two kids, my husband and a dog. I am ready to throw in the white towel.

Sadly we have just two days to prepare for our next major snow storm of 6-10 inches! We just got 12 inches last Tuesday! This is insane for central Oklahoma!

JUMBO Marshmallow Pops

Have you seen the JUMBO campfire marshmallows at the store?

My kids have!

Have you tried to make s ‘mores with them?

We have, and with not much luck. Takes forever to get them soft enough to mush onto a cracker.

So I turned them into marshmallow pops for the kiddos to pass out at their class Valentine’s parties next week.

I had leftover almond bark and some sprinkles.

After melting my chocolate I added a little food coloring and dipped my marshmallow in and then rolled it through my sprinkles. Laid them on wax paper to dry. You can see I did some small Strawberry marshmallows too!

Wrapped them up in a cello sack but I wanted to add a cute touch to the stick.

So I spray painted some small craft balls and hot glued them onto the end.

In retrospect I would have painted them red.

I’m too anal and the blues didn’t match to my liking.

Copy Cat Valentine

Last year I loved this idea that Blue Cricket Design did for her Valentine’s Day Cards.

So I copied it with my kiddos too.

This year I ‘m still loving the idea, but went with a Hugs-n-kisses theme rather than we’re crazy for you.

Once I had my pictures shot Iuploaded them to picnik.

And edited them to my liking.

Simply cut them out, and double side taped them to some themed scrapbook paper I picked up at Hob Lob.

Then ran a zig zag stitch in an alternating color.

And there you have it.

Cute, fun and super duper easy!

The ideas are endless with what you can do.

Sucker LOVE

I can't take credit for this one and can't seem to find where I saw it. If it happens to be you please email so that I can link you here!

When I first saw this idea I thought it would be perfect for a Valetine project.

Here is waht you need;

Suckers

Scrapbook paper
Scissors
Ruler
Pin
Whole punch
Ribbon and embellishments

I first created this template using my sucker as a guide for size.

Then I simply cut each one out and folded accordingly.

Super easy!

I think the kiddos will be passing these out to all their little friends this Valentine.
