I think I will have to always refer to him as my baby boy, even when he is 35.
This past weekend we celebrated the much anticipated Yankee Birthday Party. After watching the Yankee’s loose to the Rangers just the night before and a day filled with rain and drizzle, we still managed to have a good time.
Here are the invites that we found on ebay, not sure how they get away making these {legal}!
The cake and ice cream table was set up inside at the kitchen table.
With Peanuts
And cracker jacks.
Logo hats ready for ice cream to be dipped up.
And chocolate cupcakes to devour!
We planned for a fun filled day in the back yard playing a game of baseball and the dizzy bat spin race. And then it rained and rained and rained…
The party was moved to our garage.
Just the place everyone dreams to welcome guests into!
Yes, I was frustrated at first but then seeing Gabe getting all excited it really didn’t matter how the party went down. HE was having a blast.
Concessions were set up along one wall of the garage
and I put my volunteer staff to work.
They all wanted a turn at dishing out the hotdogs and working the nacho bar.
We didn''t have a baseball game but we did have a hopper race
And let me tell you my son can sweat up a storm in his sleep, no lie!
My nephew enjoyed the mud the most.
It was time to blow out the candles
Crack open the piƱata and watch them go mad!
Everyone took home a goodie bag, Yankee cup and their hopper!
And little man slept with a smile on his face all night long, mission accomplished!
