PEEP S'Mores!

Hello, my name is Kate and I’m……a PEEP’Oholic!

For as long as I can remember I have cherished, loved, craved and devoured marshmallow peeps.

When I was a kid Easter was the only time of the year they produced PEEP's. Now you can buy them for almost any holiday you can think of. And even in flavors of strawberry, vanilla crème and chocolate.

Me, I’m a purest and like the plan original flavor. And, sadly my off spring have inherited the same addiction.
So this Easter I thought I’d do something fun with them.
Let me introduce you to the PEEP S’mores.
Ooey, gooey and habit forming.

Here’s the low down on what you need and how to do it.

Peep S’mores

{makes 9-12 bars}

1 sleeve graham crackers, crushed to crumbs
8 Marshmallow peeps standing up and facing out.
1 ¼ cups M&M’s
1/3 cup brown sugar

Mix the crushed gram crackers and brown sugar together and place in clear bag. Close tightly with ribbon. Pour M&M’s in first then slightly press 6 PEEPS in a circle facing out. Place the remaining two PEEPS in the middle of your PEEP circle. Lay bag of crushed gram crackers and brown sugar on top.{ I just poured mine on the bottom and packed them  in.}

Attach a gift tag including the PEEP S’mores instructions.

Empty the jar contents into a bowl. Using kitchen sheers snip PEEPS into tiny bits. Return snipped PEEPS to mixtures and mix well.

Melt ½ cup butter; add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over dry mixture, mixing well. Pat into a greased 9” square pan. Bake @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into PEEP S’more bars.

There you have it!

Printable PEEP S'more tags I have included a printable recipe along with Easter PEEP S’more tags. M&M’s and PEEP’s can easily be changed for any holiday. Just tuck the instructions ontop of your gram cracker bag or tap to the outside! Slect download after you click on the link. It will take it a bit to load with all the colors.

  2. Once more we seem to be on the same page as to what we like. I did homemade marshmallows and s'mores for todays recipe (even though the title says banana bread). Maybe with a bird cookie cutter, you could make your own peeps. What a fun recipe you have.
