I Think I can....

I really wanted to take the kiddos picture's at this great park I had heard about. So I invited my niece and nephew to come along. This was a great chance for me to practice with my new Cannon Rebel SLR. The kids had a good time and worked pretty good for me (I promised cake and ice cream!).

If anything I realized with a few more lenses and, a couple of classes to teach me how to use all this stuff. I might be able to take some good pictures as the kids grow. Just another thing to add to my daydreaming list. I think it will fall right above wanting to learn how to cover furniture.

At last...The Sleepover...

Hannah ended this week with her much anticipated birthday sleepover. She had invited 5 of her little Friends over for a fun filled sleepover.

The girls ,and baby brother, had a get time! And not a one ever got home sick! Praise the lord!

We had a great time with an outdoor scavenger hunt, making our own pizza's, foil art, dance party USA, black out hide-n-seek (flashlights provided), decorated our own pillow cases and made ice cream sundaes.

I am not sure who had a better time Hannah or Gabe!

This was the least amount of time I have ever spent on any event and yet they all went to bed giggling!

Till next Season!

The Tigers played their last game of the year last night. It was a good hard fight till the end. But we still lost and came in second for the season. Hannah was sad but happy knowing that she still earned a trophy! We are looking forward to a nice break and cannot wait till next season.

Happy Birthday Hannah!

I think we are still all struggling to get back in the swing of things. We all had a great time in Dallas over the weekend.

Everyone meet at our house late Friday afternoon to head to big "D"! I forget just what a short drive it is to all that shopping! Dinner that night was at Hannah's favorite, Pappasitos. I would have wished for better service as it took almost 2 hours to get our meal. While Emma began to have an allergic reaction to something in that place and her eyes started to swell. We finally arrived at our hotel at about 9:30. Just in time to get to our 14th floor rooms overlooking Dr. Pepper Field and a great fireworks display.

Saturday we were up and ready to go! First for a hearty breakfast and then off to Sam Moon for a few hours of great costume jewelry shopping. Then we made our way over to American Girl Bistro for a bit of shopping and a fabulous girly lunch with are new doll friends!

We then headed to North Park mall. Not much shopping was done but we did make it the whole loop around and to favorites Anthropologie and Paper Source . It was then that we headed to Sprinkles Cupcakes. A line awaited us when we arrived. But after just a few short minutes we were devouring our most anticipated cupcakes. We stepped next door to Swooizes and then it was time to head over to Marshalls. As much as we had wanted it to be there just was not much to offer that day. So at 8:30pm we made are way over to the mall looking for a quick pedi. But no such luck we grabbed a quick dinner and headed back to the hotel for some swimming.

Sunday we found ourselves at Chuck Swindoll's early service. I like to call this a "throw-back" service. As Hannah had never sung from a Hymnal before. But he is a great speaker. After church we checked out and went next door to visit Ikea and fill a bit more space up in the car. Then it was over to Whole Foods for lunch and some drolling over why, why, why we do not have one of these in OKC. Our last stop before heading home was one more trip to Sprinkles for cupcakes to go!

"Hoppy" Day

It has taken me a few days to write a quick note about our Easter weekend. This week at work has been a bit crazy!

We started Good Friday with a great win for OU baseball. With the weather getting warmer every day, it has been much more enjoyable to watch a night game here. OU won the series! Let me tell you how less stressful this year has been with all the wins! We are sleeping well at night.

The kiddos and I headed to Harrah Saturday morning after Hannah's 9am soccer game. They loved getting to play with thier cousins and coloring Easter eggs. This was Gabe's first experience at the whole coloring of eggs. He did a great job and was quite fascinated by the process.

Grandpa and Uncle Steve helped out by hiding about 100 Easter filled eggs for us. The kids did a great job making sure everything stayed even!

Easter Sunday after church we headed over to Nana & Papa's house for Easter lunch, Yum! If I have learned anything about having kiddos ALWAYS make sure the gift giving is even. Everything must come in twos!

Another indoor egg hunt awaited the kids as storm clouds had moved in overnight. Easter goodies were shared as we celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

Us girls are off to Dallas in a few hours to celebrate Hannah's 9th birthday! I will fill you all in on Monday!

Have a blessed weekend!

"Final"ly Home!

We made it home and in bed at 3:14 AM on Tuesday morning. Not the outcome that we had hoped to come back with. But, it was a great experance for everyone. Hannah is my little travler and loves to visit new places just as much as I do. It had been a few years since I was in St. Louis and this was Hannah's first time.

Our hotel greated us with a great welcoming party! Everyone enjoyed the Girl Scout cookies that were waiting for us . We made a pit stop to our room and walked over to Union Station ( at one time the largest train station in the world!) and enjoyed some hamburgers at Hard Rock Cafe. We stopped to pick up some Dt. DP for mommy and headed back to our hotel.

The next day we had planned to vist the
City Museum with Dr.Smith's family. Having heard that it was lot's of fun we were excited to go. We arrived at 11am and were in awh... no maps or guides you where just let loose to explore all seven story's. For the next 10 hours we climbed, crawled, crafted, created and enjoyed both lunch and dinner. If you ever have to spend time in St. Louis this is a must!!! With or without kiddos! We went back the following day for another 4 hours, and lunch!

We had dinner that night with the team at Charlie Gitto's. A little italian place just up the street from the new Cardinals Stadium. Hannah and I had walked over to check it out earlier that day. It is a fabulous new stadium and we got to watch them prepare for Opening Day that was to be on the following day. After taking a few pic's we moved forward towards the great Mississippi and the Gateway Arch. Hannah loved looking at how wide the river was and how tall the Arch was up close. We did not get the chance to go to the top ( something I am very greatfull for) as they has just closed for the day. Walking back to the hotel ,about a 14 blocks (uphill), Hannah begged to hail a cab. I forged on stating that this would be great exercise. When we FINALLY arrived at the lobby my legs were in shock and me feet longed for a few blister bandades!

Our last day found all of us (those with kids) at the
St. Louis zoo. On this day I liked to think of us as the Dugger's. We were a site to see, that's for sure! This was a wonderfull FREE zoo. My expectations were low after hearing that it was free. However, this truley is the best zoo I have visited. With over 6,000 animals, beautiful grounds and a georgeous day, we all had a great time!

After all the waiting it was game time. We gathered our pom pom's, painted our faces and walked across the street to Scottrade Center. Two hours and 10 minutes later we walked back across the street packed our bags and headed home. We were all still in a state of shock. Sad that it was all over... that is until next year.

I am greatful for my job and the people I work with. The places it allows my family and I to visit and the memorys that it gives us all. A special thanks to Nana & Papa for taking care of Gabe while we were away. It sounds like he had a great time.

Meet Me in St. Louis!

OMG.....What a night we had last night! The girls won and we are just on cloud nine! Granted it was yet another very late night. Two nights in one week that my head did not hit the pillow until after 1am. At least last night Ryan kept the kids at home and got them to bed on time. Thanks honey!

The kiddos and I will be off to St.Louis tomorrow. Ryan is headed to Missouri too with the
baseball team. It is always fun to travel with the team and let the kids visit new places. As always I am sure their highlight will be riding in the big bus! It may be a few days until I am back. I let you know all about it then!
