M.I.A.!

As of February 5th, 2011 my baby girl disappeared before our eyes!

If you see this little girl please return her as soon as possible.

Her daddy is patiently waiting to take her to their Daddy Daughter Dance tonight.

All we can locate is this beautiful young lady.

Showing off her big brown eyes…

Pink little rose buds…

And her manicured nails!

And loving on the guy she thinks hung the moon!

I can be reached at 555-5555 and will gladly take her back, no questions asked!

FREE Valentine Printable!

I found the cutest Valentine note cards for my kiddo’s lunch the other day over at Crafts & Sutch.

Tell me someone who wouldn’t just love to get one of these, even the hubby!

I am working on getting back in full swing. We have had a very unusually amount of snow for Oklahoma. And here, in Oklahoma, we don’t have the means to handle it! So after 4 days snowed in my home with two kids, my husband and a dog. I am ready to throw in the white towel.

Sadly we have just two days to prepare for our next major snow storm of 6-10 inches! We just got 12 inches last Tuesday! This is insane for central Oklahoma!

JUMBO Marshmallow Pops

Have you seen the JUMBO campfire marshmallows at the store?

My kids have!

Have you tried to make s ‘mores with them?

We have, and with not much luck. Takes forever to get them soft enough to mush onto a cracker.

So I turned them into marshmallow pops for the kiddos to pass out at their class Valentine’s parties next week.

I had leftover almond bark and some sprinkles.

After melting my chocolate I added a little food coloring and dipped my marshmallow in and then rolled it through my sprinkles. Laid them on wax paper to dry. You can see I did some small Strawberry marshmallows too!

Wrapped them up in a cello sack but I wanted to add a cute touch to the stick.

So I spray painted some small craft balls and hot glued them onto the end.

In retrospect I would have painted them red.

I’m too anal and the blues didn’t match to my liking.

Tabasco Cat Chili

Folks we have a blizzard coming and I think this is the perfect blizzard food to keep us all warm.

My dad’s chili! This makes a TON and can feed about 15 folks till their bellies are stuffed.

Tabasco Cat Chili

{Minus the Tabasco and cat!}

2lbs Braum's sausage {don’t substitute}
1 package or jar of sliced mushrooms
2 green bell peppers, diced
Cumin to taste {1.5 tablespoons}
2 onions diced {medium size}
2 lbs Hamburger {not to lean}
2 cans Rotel [original}
2 Tablespoons chili powder or more depending on your taste
1.5 tablespoons garlic powder
2 cans tomato sauce {large}
1 can pinto beans
1 can Ranch Style Beans {or Red Kidney Beans}
2 14.5oz cans diced tomatoes {plain}
1 teaspoon salt {or to taste}
1 teaspoon pepper {or to taste}

Fry hamburger in skillet with some onions until brown {do not drain grease}, dump in large pot. Fry sausage in skillet with onion and add to pot. Do not fry both meats together. Add all remaining ingredients to pot and bring to boil. Lower to a simmer for about 2 hours.

I love to serve this over Fritos and topped with sour cream and cheese!

This freezes wonderfully!

Copy Cat Valentine

Last year I loved this idea that Blue Cricket Design did for her Valentine’s Day Cards.

So I copied it with my kiddos too.

This year I ‘m still loving the idea, but went with a Hugs-n-kisses theme rather than we’re crazy for you.

Once I had my pictures shot Iuploaded them to picnik.

 And edited them to my liking.

Simply cut them out, and double side taped them to some themed scrapbook paper I picked up at Hob Lob.

Then ran a zig zag stitch in an alternating color.

And there you have it.

Cute, fun and super duper easy!

The ideas are endless with what you can do.

Goodwill Gathering

Did a little bit of GW shopping this week…

Five yards of vintage lace for $.99 cents.

Super cute tin candy box stamped England on the bottom, $1.89. I am not sure why I have been drawn lately to vintage candy boxes. So many different ways to use them.

Mint condition 1963 children’s book in French, $.50 cents. I think these pictures would be so cute framed in a nursery.

And 20 books of sheet music dated 1912-1961. Half of them are in French and aged to perfection. I have a million and one crafts lined up for these sheets and have been to busy to start any of them, $6.49 for all 20!

This being one of them;

Who me? Stylish?

I am so honored to have been given the stylish blog award by
Jac O’ lyn Murphy. I love to visit her site and see all the great ideas she creates. I am loving her latest Valentine idea!

So I am supposed to tell you guy’s 7 things about me, you don’t already know!

1. I meet my husband at Target in 1991; I was just 16 years old. We dated for 6 years and will be married for 15 this year. Folks, I am not feeling so much like a Spring Chicken anymore! But think I have the best husband in the world.

2. Sadly, I hate to admit I drink at least 7 cans of Diet Dr. Pepper, a day! I have to add I drink just the same amount in water, a day, too. Does that make it ok?

3. I am not patient. AT ALL…God continues to help me along with two kiddos and a hubby. I am a work in progress.

4. I have a HUGE fear of public bathrooms. No need to explain.

5. I am Dyslexic. And if you have read {raed} this blog for sometime, you know!

6. I cannot for the life of me work my husband’s high tech remote for our TV. I just give up and walk over to the receiver to turn it.

7. I can pack a car like no body’s business. People stand back in ahh that I can make it all fit. My Goodwill pals think I have an amazing gift… LOL!

And now I am paying it forward to a few stylish blogs that I love to stalk.
